Yeah, I always love visiting this super cool event. Why is it so cool? Because there are lots of cool stuff and most of them are local brands that run by youngsters. I went to Birghtspot Market on the first day and second day. It was quite surprising because the opening party (invitation only) on the first day was more crowded than the second day which was open for public. Even I didn't buy anything but I have to say that it was very pleasing to feel the youthful atmosphere and see all the creativity.
Will I come back for the next Brightspot Market? Definitely ;)
I just went through my picture's folder and I found one folder consists of photographs where me and my friend became an amateur model. Hahaha.. Last March (if I'm not mistaken) my friend Kesuma Kurniadi a.ka. Aad asked me and Adel to be models for his own shoe line called Chiel. Well, I wasn't sure at the beginning as because I don't have any experience in modeling. But as I have passion in fashion and Aad convinced me that I could do it, I agreed.. And.. ta-da!
I love the simple and colorful design yet very comfortable to wear.
I just finished Skype-ing with my boyf an hour ago. Well, actually we had some kind of miss communications last night which I really hate it. A LOT. This is one of the biggest challenges in LDR. Thank you for today's technology, we can now use BBM to communicate everyday. Therefore, the successful of our communication really depends on the good signal connection, creating the right sentences which are easy to understand and how we interpret the messages.
If the conversation is getting nowhere, we try to use Skype. Just like we did this morning. It think the inventors should have received a noble or something, hahaha. Though it's very helpful, but we still have to be aware of some factors (such as internet connection) that can make us lost in the middle of conversation. Still, Skype is not enough. Especially when we have problems that need to be discussed. Because we used to talk face to face and end it with a warm hug. But hey, yesterday is our 44 monthyversary and I'm so grateful that we could still go this far with all the limitation :)
I'm so proud to be a muslim. And I'm trying to be a better muslim every day.
Although is tough, but at least I'm trying. I always try to pray (salat) 5 times a day. It was so hard at the beginning. But, Insha Allah I never skip a single pray since I went to college and I always push myself to read the Qur'an several times in a week. There is one thing that I'd love to wear from years ago, but unfortunately I still have to collect the intention. I wanna wear hijab :)
I was begging to my Mom to wear it when I was on the sixth grade. I felt so upset when she didn't allow me to do that. "If you want to wear hijab now, you can't take it of for the rest of your life. It means that you won't be able to wear clothes like you friends or girls on the magazines". And.. Yes she was right. Fashion is one of my passions. I still wanna wear this and that. I still wanna show my hair and my skin as well.
My mom just bought this shocking pink printed scarf. Cool!
I realized that it is a must for muslim women to wear hijab. But I think we must have the right reason to wear it. Otherwise, we will be wearing hijab just because of someone else, pressing situation or bad intention. Not because of Allah. Now, I still have to convince myself more and more. Hopefully I can wear the hijab very soon. Amen :)
This is one of the beautiful ladies who inspires me to wear hijab. I discovered her video about a week ago and I suddenly became a big fan of her. She's Hanna Tajima Simpson. Check her videos on Youtube and see how she wear hijab fashionably on her website http://www.stylecovered.com/ :)
Yeay! I had a great time with my friend, Dicha :) It's been a looong since I met her. She bought a simple yet cool sweater at TOP SHOP, we talked about what's going on in our lives and we enjoyed a scoop of ice cream. Yes, I am a huge fan of ice cream! Cold Stone is one of my favorite. Dark Chocolate and French Vanilla are currently on my top list flavors. Today, I found a new candidate. Green Tea! With crunchy almond topping! Aaaa, yummy! I want moreee x)
Thank you Dicha.
Thank you Cold Stone.
Good friend + ice cream = wonderful :)
My brother is now in the12th grade. Today is the second day of UAN (Ujian Akhir Nasional). It's the final exam for all last-grade students from elementary to senior high school. I remember mine, it was almost four years ago (wow I'm old -,-").
It was very nerve-wracking! But if I had an option, I think I'd choose to study for UAN than doing my never-ending thesis. Gosh.. Actually I'm in the middle on my chapter 4 and I'm working on it now. Well, I better go.
Okay, perhaps I never said this to my brother but yes,
I LOVE HIM :) I can't imagine how my life would be without him.
We've been together for more than 3,5 years now. Since November 13th 2006. Well, it should be more than 4 years actually. But we broke up for about 9 months and somehow God brought us back together on December 23rd, 2008 :)
He moved to Sydney on July 22nd, 2010 for his master's degree. He said that it won't be that long. A year perhaps.. So, it's been 8,5 months since we started our long distance relationship. "What? I don't believe in LDR. I think it's bullshit..", said a friend of mine. Well I faith in him, I have faith in love and I have faith in God. I think faith is the essential thing to make it work. To make your dream come true.
